关于合作开发COVID-19疫苗的公开声明

2019年12月31日，世界卫生组织（世卫组织）获悉中国湖北省武汉市出现一组不明原因肺炎病例。2020年1月7日，中国当局确定病原体为SARS-CoV-2冠状病毒。

2020年2月11日，世卫组织将该疾病命名为2019冠状病毒病（COVID-19）。

作为疫情应对的一部分，世卫组织启动了研发蓝图，以加速开发针对新型冠状病毒的诊断工具、疫苗和治疗方法。由世卫组织协调的一个多学科专家团队正在开发所需的COVID-19疫苗。

该团队呼吁所有人遵循旨在预防COVID-19病毒传播和保护个人健康的建议。团队还感谢大家信任科学界。

声明：我们是一群科学家、医生、资助者和制造商，在世卫组织协调的国际合作框架下团结合作，以帮助快速实现COVID-19疫苗的可及性。

尽管开发供公众使用的疫苗需要很长时间，但这种疫苗可能对控制这一全球大流行至关重要。

同时，我们欢迎并赞扬实施社区干预措施，以限制病毒传播并保护人群，包括弱势群体，并承诺利用这些措施广泛实施所争取的时间，尽快开发疫苗。

我们将继续努力，加强目前已经看到的全球范围内前所未有的团结、合作和信息共享。
